Kim Hazelwood – Third Grade

Miss Hazelwood has been associated with Vandalia since 1978. She attended school at VCS from kindergarten through graduation, and began teaching here in 1993. She loved working with the preschoolers in K-4 for 14 years, but has extremely enjoyed teaching 3rd grade for several years now.
She took a few years to attend college at Liberty University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Multi-Disciplinary Studies (Education, Psychology, and History). She is currently working on her Masters of Education at Piedmont International University. Since being at VCS, she has also had the privilege to be the Varsity cheerleading coach, influencing the lives of young ladies for 15 of her years. If you can’t find her in the classroom, check the gym!
She loves teaching and instructing her children in all areas of academia but her ultimate goal at VCS is to enable her students and cheerleaders to reach their fullest potential as the creative, intelligent people God has designed. Her theme verse is II Samuel 22:31, “As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in Him.”
