Return America – Take A Stand Rally
On Tuesday, September 30, Return America will once again host a rally on the Halifax Mall behind the NC Legislative Building in Raleigh. We would like to take as many of our 10th – 12th grade students as possible along with their teachers and any parents that might like to attend. The school has chartered two buses and we will take our coach. Once the permission slips come in I will have an idea of how many available seats we will have for parents. This is a free trip and we will even purchase lunch for all attendees on the way back to school. We will leave on September 30 at 8:30am and return by 3:00pm that afternoon. Permission slips have been given out and must be returned by September 19 in order for your child to attend this important and historic event. All classwork assignments will be forgiven for that day.
Please visit www.returnamerica.org for more information about this upcoming event.

Word from My Heart
Can you believe that we are in our 4th full week of school! Yikes! Time flies when you are having fun and studying! What a blessing it has been over the last few weeks to see our returning students, new families and alumni. Recently I was doing a Bible study on family and found that there are dozens of verses directly referring to the family. As I am sure you are I am thankful for the family I was born into, as well as my school family. Let’s commit today to pray for each other that God will bless and provide. DL Moody once said, “A man ought to live so that everybody knows he is a Christian….and most of all, his family ought to know.”Thank you for being a part of the VCS Family.
